jpnn.com, BOGOR – A series of accidents occurred at Jalan Raya Puncak (Bogor address) in Sampay Village, Tugu Utara Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency, West Java.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 12.30am WIB on Saturday (10/17) morning.
The accidents involved five vehicles. Among them are three motorcycles, a minibus and a truck.
The head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, AKP Fitra Zuanda, explained the chronology of the incident.
Fitria said the incident started when a truck with police number B-9978 drove from the top of Bogor towards Gadog.
However, the truck driver lost control due to the failure of the brakes of the car he was driving.
The downhill terrain at the scene caused the truck to roll over and head in the opposite direction.
Then the truck collided with three motorcycles and a car in front of it.
It did not stop there, even though it had hit several vehicles. The truck was later discovered not to have stopped.
Even so, the truck hit a kiosk and rolled over.
“We rushed to the scene when we received the report of the accident in Puncak on Saturday (10/17) morning,” he said in a statement received by jpnn com.
Meanwhile, in the unfortunate incident, 5 victims with the initials SA (17), NSA (19), C (18), DWY (21) and EH (29) died.
Meanwhile, 7 other victims were injured with the initials DR, R (18), G (40), HP (38), RA (38), NB (32) and N (17).
“The Isuzu truck that crashed had brake failures, but we are still developing investigations related to this traffic accident,” Fitria concluded. (mcr3 / jpnn)
