JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The debate over who was the mastermind behind the chaotic October 8 demonstration raised a series of questions.
The WhatsApp group, the name of the sixth president of the Republic of Indonesia, SBY, appeared on social media as the mastermind behind the chaos.
However, this was denied by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD.
He emphasized that the government has never accused the sixth President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or SBY of being the mastermind behind the chaos of the Omnibus Law demonstration of the Employment Creation Law.
“What kind of clarification is Mas @AndiArief__ asking for? Neither of them said Pak SBY or AHY was the brain or paid for the unras,” Mahfud replied in a tweet on his Twitter account on Wednesday (10/14 / 2020).
Democratic politician Rachland Nashidik thanks Mahfud MD for confirmation on this matter.
“I am happy that the Indonesians, Pak SBY, AHY have never been behind the demonstrations, they have been heard by the public and the people.” Rachland said on Rosi’s broadcast on Kompas TV, Thursday (10/15/2020).
But he also criticized the accusations against SBY, AHY and Democrats, which appeared en masse on the social networks, WhatsApp group, making him doubt.
“How come these anonymous people have certain data as if BIN is working behind it?” Rachland said.
