JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A mass of students who are members of the Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI) still held a rally at the Horse Statue in central Jakarta, despite heavy rains, on Friday (10/16 / 2020).
According to Kompas.com’s observation at 11:01 p.m. WIB, the crowd was still standing by the horse statue in raincoats and umbrellas. Some students did not even use any protection to shelter from the rain.
Amid the heavy rain that threw the students, they continued to demonstrate demanding the repeal of the omnibus law on the Employment Creation Law that was considered strangled the workers.

The stronger the rain, the stronger their voices expressed their rejection.
They are currently being detained in front of the police barricade in front of the Ministry of Tourism building.
For information, this is the second time that BEM SI has performed an action at the same location. Previously, BEM SI carried out a similar action on October 8, 2020.
However, this action caused riots because a group of people fought against the police.
