Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Head of the Public Relations Office of the Commission for the Eradication of Corruption (NCP) Febri Diansyah will end his service in the anti-corruption institution, today Friday (10/16).

On his last day of work, Febri received a joke from his colleague about the official car purchase plan as KPK’s draft budget for 2021.

The budget for the purchase of official cars is intended for the management, the supervisory board and the structural officers of the KPK. Febri as Head of Office, including those who get it if he doesn’t resign.

“There were also friends who joked and said: ‘You do not regret leaving the Corruption Eradication Commission, February, because next year the KPK officials, including the Head of the Office, will get official cars?'”, Febri said.

“I just smiled in response to that,” he replied.

Febri joined the KPK on November 1, 2013 through the Indonesia Call VII program. This former anti-corruption activist initially worked in the Directorate of Gratification before moving to the Public Relations section.

Currently, he admits that he is complying with the administrative requirements before officially leaving the institution that released his name. He has been working for seven years in the office located in Rasuna Said, Kuningan, South Jakarta.

“In the last few days I have fulfilled various obligations such as reporting the LHKPN at the end of the position, working meetings until the third quarter of 2020 and returning library books,” said Febri.

“Various other obligations are being resolved today,” he added.

Febri hopes that in the future the public will be able to trust the KPK again and love it again for its serious performance in eradicating corruption.

“There are still many KPK employee friends who mean well and are steadfast in their efforts to eradicate corruption. Hopefully they will be given physical and mental strength,” he added.

Previously, Febri decided to resign from the KPK for reasons of political and legal conditions that had changed since the KPK Law was amended.

After the new law came into force, according to him, the space for significant contributions to be made to eradicate corruption became very narrow.

He sent a letter of resignation to KPK Secretary General Cahya Hardianto Harefa dated September 18, 2020. He then plans to create a public law office dedicated to fighting corruption and consumer protection.
