Suara.com – DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan will enter his third year in charge of the capital city. During his tenure, Anies was considered not a good influence.
This was stated by urban planning observer Nirwono Joga in a virtual discussion entitled The Three Years of Anies Baswedan’s Government held by the Populi Center.
Nirwono even considered that Anies took Jakarta into a state of suicide immediately. During his tenure, Anies was deemed to have failed to solve basic problems in Jakarta, such as floods and congestion.
“What is my note is that Jakarta in general is heading towards ecological suicide. We let the floods, the traffic jams,” Nirwono said on Thursday (10/15/2020).

Anies’ reign was exacerbated by the crown pandemic. Priority programs to deal with traffic jams and floods must be cut to address Covid-19.
As a result, the program to address this fundamental problem is hampered. Finally, for the rest of his tenure, Anies’ task (PR) continues to pile up.
“This pandemic will inevitably lead Jakarta to suicide. Or ecological suicide, health factors. This should be a big question mark heading towards the twilight of Jakarta,” he said.
He also asked Anies to think realistically about current conditions. The various campaign promises he has made to his supporters must be removed.
“In the end, with the last 2 years, will all the promises of the campaign be fulfilled? And is it necessary or not? If the program is not very important, please apologize and the next 2 years must be canceled,” Nirwono said.

Right now, Anies has to focus on managing Covid-19. However, after the pandemic ended, significant problems have been seen in the capital, such as those in densely populated areas.
“Because it is related to how to improve slum villages, how to improve drinking water sanitation, healthy housing, if we talk about stopping the spread of Covid-19,” he concluded.
