JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Police also arrested the owner of the Twitter account @podoradong in connection with the action against the Job Creation Law that ended in chaos.

“The DW suspect has a @podoradong account,” the head of the National Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, said at the Bareskrim building in South Jakarta on Thursday (10/15/2020 ).

However, Argo did not specify the time and place of the arrest of the DW suspect.

He said that DW has four accounts with thousands of followers or followers.

Argo also gave an example of the charges from one of the DW suspects that were used as evidence.

“He also wrote there that ‘It would be a lie if the business of the omnibus law is not a matter of the Palace, but an agreement’ etc. There are some that we have used as evidence, ”Argo said.

In this case, DW was charged by article 28 paragraph 2 in conjunction with article 45A paragraph 2 of the ITE Law and article 14 paragraph 1, paragraph 2, and article 15 of Law Number 1 Year 1946 relating to Criminal Regulations . The threat of punishment is 6 years in prison.

In addition to DW, a total of eight other people were arrested for spreading hate speech or incitement, causing the demonstrations to turn anarchist.

The eight people, namely KAMI President Medan Khairi Amri, JG, NZ, WRP, KA, Anton Permana, Syahganda Nainggolan and Jumhur Hidayat.

Suspects Khairi, JG, NZ and WRP were arrested in North Sumatra during the period of October 9-12, 2020.

Meanwhile, suspect KA was arrested in South Tangerang on October 10, 2020.

Anton was arrested in the Rawamangun area on October 12, 2020. On October 13, 2020, the police arrested Syahganda in Depok and Jumhur in South Jakarta.

Currently, all suspects are being held at the Salemba Detention Center for the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police. The police confirmed that they would not grant a stay of detention.
