JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The final manuscript of the Copyright Act was presented by the House of Representatives (DPR) to President Joko Widodo, on Wednesday (10/14/2020).

The 812-page manuscript was delivered directly by the Secretary General of the DPR, Indra Iskandar, to the Secretary of State, Minister Pratikno, at the Secretary of State building located in the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency detained Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Tommy Sumardi. Both are suspects in the alleged corruption case related to the removal of the red notice at Interpol on behalf of Joko Soegiarto Tjandra alias Djoko Tjandra.

1. The final draft of the Employment Creation Law was presented to the president.

Before handing it over to Pratikno, Indra had shown the manuscript to the media team.

It is known that of the 812 pages, 488 pages are the content of the Copyright Law. While the rest is an explanation page of the articles contained in the Law.

It is known that the DPR passed the Employment Creation Law on October 5. However, once approved, the law underwent a review and editing process by the Secretary General of the DPR.

Until now, the manuscript has not been accessible to the public. However, previously the manuscripts that were approved by DPR had been widely circulated.

Kompas.com itself received three versions of the text after the law was passed. The first version of 905 pages distributed by the leadership of the Legislature Body of the RPD after the plenary session.

The second version is 1,035 pages thick and shipped on Monday morning (12/10/2020). The third version is 812 pages thick and was released Monday night.

2. Inspector General Napoleon and Tommy Sumardi were arrested

The head of the Public Information Office of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Pol Awi Setiyono, revealed that the two were summoned by the investigators because their examination files would be delegated in phase II, before be stopped.

Phase II delegation takes place after the prosecution declares the examination papers complete or P21.

It is known that Tommy arrived around 12.00 WIB or an hour after Napoleon’s arrival. Before being detained, both underwent a Covid-19 swab test.

“Suspect NB was immediately subjected to a swab test and then a forced arrest was carried out. So, TS at 12.00 WIB was the same,” he said.
