JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Police said there were ambulance cars that were used by protesters to carry logistics in the demonstration against the Job Creation Law in Jakarta.

Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus, explained that an ambulance was chosen because it could move freely through the crowd when a demonstration was taking place.

“There are vehicles that we have detected. This is a new mode now. Some are using ambulances that are free to move,” Yusri told reporters on Wednesday (10/14/2020).

Unfortunately, Yusri said, the operation of the ambulance was misused by the masses in a demonstration against the Employment Creation Law.

Not only to carry logistics in the form of food, but supposedly to transport tools and stones.

“There are even indications of preparing stone tools for demonstrations and throwing stones,” Yusri said.

Now, the police are still investigating and have identified several private vehicles that are also used to transport a number of logistics.

“Everything is still within us. But it is dripping the food is there. There are private vehicles that have all been detected, we are doing a deepening, “he said.

After the union and the student alliance conveyed their views, now the 212 Alumni Association (PA) and various Islamic organizations are holding a demonstration against the Job Creation Law on Tuesday (10/13/2020).

The theme of the rally was “Action 1310 against the Ciptaker / Cilaka Act” which took place at the State Palace, Jakarta.

The demo started at 1:00 p.m. WIB until around 4:00 p.m. WIB.

However, after the PA 212 mass ended the rally, several other protesters became involved in the riot again.

The police fired tear gas to repel the crowd in various directions.
