Both were named suspects by Bareskrim on August 14, 2020. However, they were not immediately arrested.

Awi said the decision not to detain the two suspects beforehand was due to investigators not wanting to be linked to the suspect’s period of detention.

“Because the corruption investigation in Bareskrim is different from the one carried out by the KPK, we do not want to be shackled by us detaining people who know that the case is long or could take a long time for the P21,” Awi said. .

In this case, there are four suspects designated by the Criminal Investigation Unit.

Djoko Tjandra and Tommy Sumardi are suspects and suspected of grafting bribes.

Meanwhile, Inspector General Napoleon and the former head of the National Police’s Office for Coordination and Supervision of the PPNS, Brigadier General (Pol) Prasetijo Utomo, are suspected of taking bribes.

The suspect, Djoko Tjandra, is also a convicted person in the Bank Bali collection rights transfer case (cessie).
