Eight OUR members arrested, real action expected from Gatot Nurmantyo

JAKARTA – Eight members Action Coalition to Save Indonesia (USA)including the declarants, namely Syahganda Nainggolan and Jumhur Hidayat, arrested by the National Police on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

They were arrested on suspicion of incitement related to the demonstration against the Omnibus Law in Cipta Kerja on October 8, 2020.

In response to these arrests, the Executive Director of Indonesia Political Review (IPR), Ujang Komarudin, argued that retired General TNI Gatot Nurmantyo As a Presidium, we must defend our captured colleagues, including by providing them legal assistance.

Ujang was sure that Gatot paid attention to Jumhur Hidayat and his friends who were still detained by the National Police. Regarding Gatot’s absence to meet them, Ujang suspected that the former TNI commander might be consolidating to help out and help his friends.

Previously, pro-democracy activists (Prodem) visited US members Syahganda Nainggolan and Jumhur Hidayat at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim), Jakarta, on Tuesday (10/13/2020).
