This incident was confirmed by the Chief of Police of the Central Jakarta Metro, Kombes Pol Heru Novianto. Heru said the ambulance is now being secured at Polda Metro Jaya.
Not only the ambulance, the police also secured the three people who were in it.
“We are currently being screened at Polda,” Heru said when confirmed, on Wednesday (10/14/2020).
Heru said the police initially tried to stop the passing ambulance. However, the ambulance driver sped up the vehicle and nearly hit the officers.
“He was stopped by the officer and instead stepped on the gas, and even wanted to hit the members,” Heru said.

This, according to Heru, has even raised suspicions among officers. Therefore, the police brought an ambulance along with three people to be examined.
Even so, Heru admitted that he did not know why the ambulance had fled when it was about to be stopped.
“Wait for the test results,” he said.
