KUALA LUMPUR, KOMPAS.com – Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim is one step closer to the post of prime minister he has been waiting for 22 years.

Anwar claims a large majority support

Without mentioning concrete figures, the president of the People’s Justice Party (PKR) said he had the support of more than 120 parliamentarians.

One of them is Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, a high-ranking politician from the United Malaysia National Organization (UMNO).
