Previously, the Central Coordinator of the All-Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM SI), Remy Hastian, denied various allegations that said the students’ action was motivated by certain parties.
Remy considered that government accusations of intellectualist drivers in demonstrations against the Employment Creation Law are common.
According to him, the issue raised by the government was only part of the effort to integrate the student movement.
“The government is such a teacher, when we did a massive demonstration they said that someone was riding, someone was sponsoring, this is part of the formation of the movement,” Remy told Kompas.com, Monday (12/10/2020).
