jpnn.com, MEDAN – The puzzle of throwing stones at the masses during a demonstration against the Job Creation Act from above the Medan DPRD building in North Sumatra on Thursday (8/10/2020) was finally revealed.
Police said two perpetrators threw stones at protesters during the action. They both turned out to be security or security guards in the council building.
This was stated by the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Kombes Pol Tatan Dirsan Atmaja.
“(Yes) security,” Tatan briefly told the media at Bhayangkara Medan Hospital on Monday (12/10/2020).
However, regarding the identity of the two perpetrators, Tatan was reluctant to go into details. “I don’t know the name,” he said.
Previously reported, a video went viral amid the frenzy of the action that ended in chaos.
In which, the protesters recorded the action that was initially suspected by the police of provoking the crowd from the top of the Medan DPRD building, by throwing stones.
In the 17 second video, stones were seen several times floating up and down, where the masses had gathered around Jalan Raden Saleh and Jalan Imam Bonjol to run towards the North Sumatra DPRD building.
