JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Covid-19 cases in Indonesia continue to increase.
Government data from Sunday (11/10/2020) at 12.00 WIB, there were 4,497 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The addition has resulted in the current total of Covid-19 cases of 333,449 people, as of the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020.
This information was transmitted by the Covid-19 Management Working Group through data received by journalists on Sunday afternoon.

The data is also accessible to the public on the covid19.go.id and kemkes.go.id sites, and updates appear every evening.
The patient recovered and died
Although data shows that cases are on the rise, the government is raising hope by revealing that more Covid-19 patients are recovering.
In one day, there were 3,546 additional Covid-19 patients who recovered after they were deemed no longer infected with the corona virus.
They were declared cured according to the examination method. Polymerase chain reaction showing a negative result.
Therefore, the total number of recovered Covid-19 patients is now 255,027 since the start of the pandemic.

However, sad news still appears with the addition of Covid-19 patients who have passed away.
In the period from October 10 to 11, 2020, an increase of 79 Covid-19 patients who died.
Therefore, the death rate due to Covid-19 in Indonesia has now reached 11,844 people.
Apart from the positive cases, the government also shows that today’s data shows 152,286 people with a status of suspicion.
Sample data
A total of 4,497 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered after examining 36,332 samples in one day.
During the same period, 22,163 individuals were sampled for sample examination.

So far, the government has examined 3,762,808 specimens from 2,305,532 people sampled.
For the record, a person can undergo a sample examination and take samples more than once.
Currently, all the provinces of Indonesia have registered cases of Covid-19, from Aceh to Papua.
In detail, there are 500 districts / cities in 34 provinces that have been affected by the transmission of the corona virus.
