JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – The coordinating minister for Maritime Affairs and Investments, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, presented the figure of the person who first coined the term Omnibus Law.

From that term, the Workplace Copyright Act (RUU) emerged which later became the Job Creation Act.

On Monday (10/5/2020), DPR RI together with the Government confirmed that the work copyright bill has become law.

According to Luhut, the one who first coined the term Omnibus Law was the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning or the Minister of ATR, Sofyan Djalil.

Luhut said that Sofyan Djalil knew the term Omnibus Law because he had studied in the United States.

“The term Omnibus Law came from the ATR minister. Because he found out about this in the United States first,” Luhut said in a virtual broadcast quoted from Tribunnews.com on Sunday (11/10/2020).
