GenPI.co – The Vice Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Wave Party (Gelora), Fahri Hamzah, hopes that the Jokowi-Maruf government will learn great lessons from the rejection of the Omnibus Law on Employment Creation Law.
According to Fahri, the government’s good intentions and goals to build a strong economy amid the Covid-19 pandemic and this protracted crisis are not understood by people with rejection everywhere.

“There are great lessons to be learned these days. Because good intentions are sometimes tinged with bad intentions,” Fahri said in his statement on Saturday (10/10).
According to him, the Omnibus Law is a single law, including the Indonesian denomination called the Employment Creation Law. The Employment Creation Law, he continued, regulates all economic activities and employment opportunities.
“Who does not want job opportunities to be created. Who does not want to work. Who does not want to have an income, feeds their family and children. Everyone wants to work. So why is the law that means good people rejected,” Fahri said.
This former PKS politician assessed that there were many rejections to the ratification of the Employment Creation Law, because the government from the beginning had hidden the contents listed in the Omnibus Law. It is also not communicated to the public until it is legalized.
“If the government says that everything is fine, then from the beginning it will communicate. People must be informed about what the Ciptaker Act says and surely everyone will accept it,” he said.
