KOMPAS.com – The Free Papua Organization of the West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB-OPM) or the so-called armed separatist group (KSB) claimed responsibility for the murder of members of TNI and the Joint Investigation Team (TGPF) in the regency of Intan Jaya, Papua.
The shooting of a TGPF member, Bambang Purkowo, a UGM lecturer and two Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) took place in Mamba Bawah village, Hitadipa district, Intan Jaya on Friday (10/9/2020) .
Reporting from VOA IndonesiaTPNPB-OPM spokesman Sebby Sambom said the attack was carried out as a form of rejection of the TGPF formed by the Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD, to investigate Pastor Yeremia’s death on Saturday. (19/9/2020).

Sebby Sambom said the attack was carried out by the TPNPB-OPM team at Code VIII Intan Jaya, under the command of Sabinus Waker.

Meanwhile, Kogabwilhan III’s Chief of Information, Colonel Czi IGN Suriastawa, said that at least two people were injured as a result of the shooting.
They are members of the working group of the territorial apparatus, Sertu Faisal Akbar and a professor from the UGM, Bambang Purwoko, who is one of the TGPF group.
Suriastawa claimed that the KSB had acted brutally in the attack carried out against TGPF.

TGPF was sent to Intan Jaya to investigate the death of Pastor Yeremia Zanambani, who died after being shot.
TGPF was assigned for two weeks to investigate and find the truth of various incidents of shooting and violence that occurred in Papua in September 2020.
