PR BEKASI – The demonstration against the Omnibus Law on the Creation of Works lasted three days, from October 6 to October 9, 2020.
Sentiment is reported to have experienced chaos in various places in Indonesia. Police reportedly arrested several protesters suspected of being rioters.
According to the police investigation, the alleged rioters admitted not knowing the substance of the demonstration. They admitted that they only gave them directions via WhatsApp and gave them food and train tickets.

In this sense, the Coordinating Minister of Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, also boasted of commenting on the intellectual author of the demonstration against the Employment Creation Law.
Airlangga Hartarto claimed that the demonstration movement was designed and planned by someone. According to him, the government believes that there are figures who mobilize and finance massive actions by workers who reject the Employment Creation Law, also known as the Omnibus Law.
“Actually, the government knows who is behind the demonstration. So we know who is leading it, we know who the sponsor is. We know who financed it, so we hope that the 7 DPR factions will also represent the people,” said Airlangga Hartarto in one of the National TV programs on Thursday, October 8, 2020.
Airlangga Hartarto claimed that the figure behind the demo was a character with a very big ego.
