JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – Democratic Party politician Andi Arief was furious at the accusation that his party was the mastermind behind the demonstration against the Omnibus Act of the Job Creation Act, which ended in chaos.
The indictment is not only directed at the Democratic Party, but also at the chairman of the High Council of the Democratic Party, who is also the former sixth president of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or SBY.
According to Andi Arief, if SBY is continually accused of being the person behind the demonstrations, it is not impossible for his party to propose to SBY to intervene directly to carry out massive actions with the people.

“If you continue to accuse Pak SBY of being behind student and labor actions, eventually we will propose that Pak SBY actually engage in direct action with the community like the former president of the Philippines did. Estrada has collapsed,” Andi said Arief via his Twitter account, @ AndiArief_ on Saturday (10/10/2020).
Meanwhile, the head of the DPP Democratic Party of the Strategic Communications Agency (Bakomstra), Ossy Dermawan, denied the demonstration and large mass waves of rejection of the Omnibus Law of the Employment Creation Law were initiated and financed by the Democratic Party or Cikeas.
According to him, SBY and the Democratic Party were only used as scapegoats for doorbell accounts with the account name @digeeembok.
