PAPUA, KOMPAS.TV – Spokesperson for the West Papua National Liberation Army – Free Papua Organization (TPNPB-OPM) Sebby Sambom rejected the joint investigation team (TGPF) formed by the Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD.
Sebby Sambom relayed this via whatsapp video, following the shooting of TGPF who was on duty in Intan Jaya, Papua, on Friday (09/10/20).

“Good afternoon everyone, I’m Sebby Sambom, spokesperson for the TPNPB-OPM. A few days ago I communicated with our troops in the field. We have announced via video that we reject the investigation team formed by Mahfud MD, ”said Sebby.
The TPNPB-OPM spokesperson stated that his party asked the UN Investigation Team to address human rights issues in Papua.
“We are asking a team led by the UN Human Rights Commission to go to Papua for a thorough investigation of human rights violations that occurred from 1963 to the present. Period,” Sebby said.

The TPNPB-OPM even threatened to shoot the investigation team created by the Indonesian government.
“No one bargained with the TPNPB troops, we are ready to shoot the Indonesian team. Thank you for your attention,” Sebby concluded.
