Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Confederacy Labor union Indonesia (KSPI) responded to the claim of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) about the demonstration against the Omnibus Law on the Employment Creation Law (Ciptaker) that was caused by misinformation and deception on social networks.

According to him, deception will not occur if the government is honest and transparent in discussing the law.

“Yes, actually this problem will be solved if the final draft is published. Due to the union’s response to why it refused, it is the result of the observation of the meeting that was broadcast live between Panja and the government,” he said KSPI’s Head of the Media and Communication Department, Kahar Cahyono, in a virtual discussion on Saturday. (10/10).

He explained that Jokowi’s statement on various substances from the Ciptaker Omnibus Act that was delivered yesterday had not calmed the workers.

“Actually, it still hasn’t calmed us down (Jokowi’s explanation), because in fact our reference is the result of the discussion in Panja. The drafts that we received, including the initial draft that we both contributed,” he said.

On that occasion, he explained, basically, his party supports the elimination of barriers to investment and job creation. However, this effort should not be made by reducing labor rights regulated in Law No. 13 of 2003 on Manpower.

“For workers, in principle, we strongly agree with the opening of job opportunities and the elimination of barriers to investment. It’s just that we want one, the labor rights in Law 13 are not reduced and the protection of workers is a priority, ”he said.

The ambiguity of the bill was also conveyed by a member of the Legislative Body of the RPD (Baleg) of the faction of the Social Justice Party (PKS), Bukhori Yusuf. He admitted that he had not received a final draft of the Law for the Creation of Works since it was approved on Monday (10/5).

“Until yesterday, I personally and the faction asked in writing for the signed draft, which was later eliminated in its entirety to become law. Where are those articles? Until today we do not have them,” Bukhori said.

He admitted that he deeply regretted this. According to him, in a process of drafting laws, such a thing should not happen.

“While I have been a member of the DPR since 2009, 2014 and then I continued this, and I was in Baleg, this is the first time that a deliberation process of a law has been very problematic, extraordinary in scope and extraordinary. speed the discussion has never taken place as long as this country is independent, “he said.
