Suara.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially detained Bambang Giatno Rahardjo, former head of the Health Human Resources Development and Empowerment Agency, Ministry of Health, on Friday (September 10, 2020).
The arrest was only carried out by the KPK after determining Bambang as a suspect in a corruption case related to the acquisition of medical equipment and the Laboratory of the Hospital of Tropical Infections of Airlangga University since December 2015.
“Today we will hand over information related to the arrest of the suspect BGR (Bambang Giatno Rahardjo),” Karyoto, KPK’s Enforcement Deputy, said at the KPK Red and White House, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Friday (September 10, 2020 ).
Karyoto said that in the interest of KPK investigators, the suspect Bambang was detained for the first 20 days.

“From October 9, 2020 to October 28, 2020 at the KPK branch detention center in the ACLC KPK Kavling C1 building,” Karyoto said.
To comply with health protocols, the KPK will isolate suspect Bambang for 14 days.
“To prevent Covid-19, detainees will first be independently isolated for 14 days at the KPK branch detention center in the KPK ACLC building in lot C1,” Karyoto said.
He explained that this case started when former health minister Siti Fadilah Supari ordered Zulkarnain Kasim to use the budget of the education function for the acquisition of teaching and learning material (ABBM), the construction and acquisition of medical devices for the Hospital. of Tropical Infections from Airlangga University (Unair) in 2008.
“The entire budget is mandated to be included in the PPSDM Health Work Unit budget,” Karyoto said.

According to Karyoto, Siti Fadilah also ordered Zulkarnain to secure the acquisition of ABBM and the construction of the Tropical Infection Hospital Unair because Muhammad Nazarudin was protecting the budget.
“Then BGR (Bambang) assigned Zulkarnain to carry out the direction of Siti Fadilah,” Karyoto said.
Additionally, in early 2009, Bambang met with Nazarudin to discuss a plan to provide an additional budget for Airlangga University to be provided through DIPA BPPSDM Kesehatan.
On that occasion, the acquisition plan for the Airlangga University Tropical Infections Hospital to be executed by Nazaruddin was also discussed.
