YOGYAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Gadjah Mada University (UGM) professor Bambang Purwoko was shot in the left ankle and left wrist after conducting the shooting at the shooting site of Pastor Yeremias Zanambani in Intan Jaya Regency, Papua.

Bambang Purwoko is a member of the Joint Investigation Team (TGPF) on the shooting of Pastor Yeremia Zanabani.

UGM Director of Public Relations and Protocol Iva Ariani said she had received information related to the incident that happened to Bambang Purwoko.

“It was only this afternoon that UGM received information that Mr. Bambang Purwoko was attacked and the victim of a shooting in Papua,” UGM Head of Public Relations and Protocol Iva Ariani said on Friday (September 10, 2020 ).

After receiving the news, representatives of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the UGM immediately contacted Bambang Purwoko.

“I received information and immediately contacted him. Thank God he is fine, please pray that Mr. Bambang is always healthy and protected by God in the performance of his duties,” he said.

As previously reported, the Joint Investigation Team (TGPF) group in the shooting of Pastor Yeremia Zanambani in Intan Jaya Regency, Papua, was intercepted by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), on Friday (9/10/2020) .

Bambang Purwoko and a TNI soldier, Sertu Faisal Akbar, were shot.
