jpnn.com, PADANG – Kapolresta Padang AKBP Imran Amir said dozens of teenagers who carried out wanton actions at the DPRD office in West Sumatra were suspected of being paid by irresponsible people.

Students on Thursday (10/8) threw stones at officers and carried sharp weapons.

“We continue to explore this issue to find intellectual actors,” he said, in Padang, on Friday (10/9).

After examining the 84 teenagers who participated in the demonstration, it was found that they were all students and unemployed who came from outside Padang, including Padang Pariaman, Dharmasraya and others.

He said that the teenagers were paid Rs 50,000 per person and the person gave them food and in fact they were conditioned to make a scene.

“Their actions are well coordinated and we will look for intellectual actors,” he said.

That day, the police detained 87 teenagers in the vicinity of the West Sumatra DPRD office, which was to be the site of a Kamisan demonstration against the Job Creation Act on Friday afternoon.

He said that many of these demonstrations were infiltrated by provocateurs who wanted to create chaos.
