KOMPAS.com- For those of you who will be doing activities outside the home, you should be aware of the potential for bad weather that is expected to occur until tomorrow.

The Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) issued an early warning of this bad weather due to the conditions entering the rainy season, which is why most of Indonesia experienced high rainfall from October 9-10, 2020 .

Meteorology Deputy Guswanto in his written statement said that this potential occurred due to the existence of seeds from tropical cyclones 91W.

This 91W tropical cyclone was observed in the eastern part of the Gulf of Thailand, forming a convergence of wind speed (convergence) extending from Aceh to the Straits of Malacca.

In addition, tropical cyclone 92W seedlings were also observed in the northern part of the Philippines, favoring the longitudinal convergence of central Kalimantan and the Sulu Seas.

“This condition may increase the potential for rain cloud formation around the seeds of cyclone 91W and 92W, as well as along the convergence area in line with the direction of movement of the two seeds of the tropical cyclone to the west. “Guswanto explained.

He also added that cyclonic circulation was observed in the western waters of Bengkulu, which formed areas of convergence extending from the western Java Sea to the western waters of Bengkulu.

BMKG also found another cyclonic circulation in the waters of North Papua.

“This condition can increase the potential for rain cloud formation around the cyclonic circulation and along the convergence area,” he said.
