jpnn.com, JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has responded to the recent crowd that rejected the Cipta Kerja Omnibus Law.

According to Jokowi, the protesters had been influenced by inaccurate information about the Ciipta Kerja Omnibus Law that was approved by the government and the DPR on Monday (5/10).

“I see demonstrations against the Job Creation Law that are basically motivated by misinformation about the content of this law and deception on social media,” Jokowi said at a virtual press conference on Friday (10/9).

The Seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia gave an example of a hoax about the elimination of the provincial minimum wage (UMP), the district / city minimum wage (UMK) and the provincial sectoral minimum wage (UMSP). Jokowi also dismissed the hoax.

“The fact is that the UMR regional minimum wage still exists,” Jokowi said.

In addition, Jokowi also highlighted the hoaxes about minimum hourly wages. According to him, this is not true.

“There are no changes in the current system. Salaries can be calculated based on time and based on results,” he explained.

Jokowi also explained other examples of deception about the Omnibus Law on Job Creation, for example, the elimination of leave, both menstrual leave and circumcision leave, baptism leave, death leave or maternity leave. .

“I also emphasize that this is not true. The right to leave is still and guaranteed,” he added.

Jokowi also ensured that companies could not unilaterally terminate their employment (PHK). According to him, the Cipta Kerja Omnibus Law actually regulates layoffs in such a way as to protect workers.

“Then also the question about whether social security and other social benefits are gone. The truth is that social security still exists,” he said.
