JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo asked the public who objected to the Job Creation Act to file a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court (MK).
“If there is still dissatisfaction with the Job Creation Act, request a judicial review or judicial review to the Constitutional Court, “Jokowi said at a virtual press conference from the Presidential Palace, Bogor, on Friday (09/10/2020).
Jokowi emphasized that conducting a judicial review of a law before the Constitutional Court was an appropriate step in the Indonesian constitutional system.

On that occasion, Jokowi also responded to the demonstration of workers and students that had been held for three days in a row to reject the Employment Creation Law.
Jokowi said the action was caused by misinformation and deception.
“I see demonstrations against the Employment Creation Law that are basically motivated by misinformation about the content of this law and deception on social media,” Jokowi said.
Jokowi then explained a series of misinformation and hoaxes about the Job Creation Law, as well as rebuttals.

For example, in relation to the elimination of the provincial minimum wage, the district minimum wage and the provincial sectoral minimum wage are eliminated.
“This is not true. In fact, the regional minimum wage still exists,” said the Head of State.
However, Jokowi did not explain in detail the comparison between the rules of the old Manpower Law and the law that was recently passed.
