Surabaya Mayor Risma angered protesters: How can my city be destroyed?

SHARE THE NEWS – The mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini, was furious that the protesters damaged public facilities.

The demonstration against the Omnibus Law in Cipta Kerja on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Surabaya lasted until night and ended in anarchism and caused damage to several public facilities.

The protesters in Surabaya are known to have come from various regions of East Java. They called on the provincial government and the East Java DPRD to convey their aspirations to President Joko Widodo.

Risma, who conducted the survey, could not contain her anger when she saw that many facilities were severely damaged.



For the protesters who were secured by the police, Risma was furious and asked them where they came from.

“How could you? I was half dying to build this city, you were destroyed,” Risma was quoted as saying by RRI.

Risma also had time to ask one of the Lamongan protesters about the reason for his participation in the demonstration against the Omnibus Law on the Cipta Kerja Law in Surabaya.
