SURABAYA, KOMPAS.com – The mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini, intercepted a group of young people who were arrested by the police during an action against the Omnibus Law in Surabaya, on Thursday night (10/8/2020).
Risma scolded them for destroying public facilities in Surabaya.
Risma is getting angry because they are not residents of Surabaya.
Some claim to be from Lamongan and Madiun.
“How can you, half dead build this city? You are destroyed,” Risma said.

Risma also had time to ask one of the Lamongan protesters about the reason for his participation in the demonstration against the Omnibus Law in Surabaya.
“You know what the Omnibus Law is,” Risma asked.
The young man then replied, “You know, the law, but I don’t memorize it,” said the young man.
The police immediately took the group of youths away for further processing.
After reprimanding a group of youths who were arrested by the police, Risma cleaned up by collecting garbage from a part of Jalan Governor Suryo to the Tunjungan Surabaya crossing.
Risma collected garbage filled with mineral water bottles and stones along the road, along with officers from Surabaya City Linmas and Satpol PP.
As reported, the police forcibly dispersed a demonstration against the Omnibus Law in Surabaya on Thursday afternoon at 3.30pm WIB when the crowd began to act anarchically, destroying street lights and tearing down the fence at the Grahadi State Building on the south side.
When the car canon of water moved, hundreds of policemen who were inside the courtyard of the Grahadi building also began to disperse the crowd.

The atmosphere suddenly tensed as police repeatedly fired tear gas at the protesters.
Meanwhile, the masses threw various objects at the Grahadi State Building in Jalan Governor Suryo, such as mineral water bottles, stones and other iron materials.
