TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Today Thursday (8/10/2020) a wave of demonstrations against the Employment Creation Law was repeated.
This time, the demonstrations were held in various regions, from Jakarta, Bandung, Bekasi, Yogyakarta, Padang, Malang, Medan, to Semarang.
Many of the actions carried out by workers and students ended in chaos. Some burned tires, damaged police cars and broke down government office doors.

It is interesting to see what the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, and the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, did in response to the massive action in their area. Like what?
Send a letter
The Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, will send a letter addressed to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the DPR.
This was done as a follow-up to the aspirations of workers demonstrating in the rain at the Gedung Sate shipyard on Thursday (8/10/2020).
What’s in there
Ridwan Kamil previously had an audience with workers’ representatives in Gedung Sate.
The letter was sent to represent the voices of the workers.
