The widening of the deficit is regulated through the Presidential Regulation instead of Law (Perppu) number 1 of 2020 or it has currently become Law number 2 of 2020. With this regulation, the budget deficit this year is set at 6, 3. 4%.

Meanwhile, for 2021, the budget deficit is set at 5.7%. However, if Covid-19 continues for a long time, the deficit is likely to widen.
