jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Several elements of workers and students plan to carry out an action in front of the State Palace on Thursday (8/10) to reject the Omnibus Law on Cipta Kerja. However, tomorrow President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will not be in Jakarta.

The Seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia left for Yogyakarta on Wednesday (7/10) afternoon. Also, Jokowi will continue his journey to Solo.

According to the head of the Presidential Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono, during the day, Jokowi’s agenda at the Bogor Palace includes holding virtual meetings.

“Just in the afternoon, the president flew to Jogja, then continued the trip by land to Solo,” Heru said.

Heru further explained that President Jokowi’s agenda for Solo was to visit the grave of his mother, (deceased) Sudjiatmi Notomihardjo in Karanganyar.

“On the night of Solo, the president returned to Jogja to spend the night at the Presidential Palace, Gedung Agung,” Heru said.

President Jokowi’s agenda for tomorrow is to pay a working visit to Palangka Raya in Central Kalimantan. At Palangka Raya, Jokowi will review the National Food Granary program.

However, Heru emphasized that President Jokowi’s working visit to Palangka Raya had nothing to do with the plans of the student elements and rushed to carry out an action in front of the State Palace. Heru argued that the agenda had been in place for a long time.

“So it has absolutely nothing to do with tomorrow’s action. The president is concern to national food security, because, as FAO warns, there is a risk of food shortages due to a pandemic. So the president wants to directly review the progress food farm this, “Heru explained.(tan / jpnn)
