This year, the LPDP Scholarship is open for Educator Scholarships and World Higher Education Scholarships (PTUD). LPDP organizes Masters / PhD scholarship programs for the best boys and girls in Indonesia.
The purpose of the LPDP scholarship is to commit to preparing future leaders and professionals and fostering innovation for the creation of a prosperous, democratic and just Indonesia.

Calendar
- Registration: October 6-20, 2020
- Administrative selection: October 21 – November 1, 2020
- Announcement: Nov 2, 2020
- Substance selection: from 4 to 20 November 2020
- Announcement: Dec 4, 2020
Meanwhile, PTUD scholarships are for Indonesian citizens who have obtained them. Letter of unconditional admission / acceptance of the best universities in the world ranking to pursue master’s and doctoral studies.
PTUD scholarships are awarded for the following levels of education:
- Master A degree program (single degree) with a maximum study duration of 24 months.
- Doctorate One-degree program (single degree) with a maximum study duration of 60 months.
Criteria
1. PTUD scholarship applicants can only choose a university and study program accordingly LoA unconditional uploaded to the registration app.
2. Applicants for BPI PTUD have not started studies and are only allowed to start studies in 2021.
3. Registrant of BPI PTUD that owns LoA unconditional with the study start time in 2020, it is mandatory to postpone studies and start studies in 2021 and attach a certificate of delay in the start of studies from the best world ranking universities uploaded together LoA unconditional.
General requirement
The general requirements for PTUD scholarships are as follows:
1. Indonesian citizen
2. You have completed the D4 or S1 study program for Master’s scholarships, Master’s programs (S2) for PhD scholarships. Or diploma four (D4) / Bachelor (S1) directly Doctorate with the following conditions:
- National universities accredited by the National Board of Higher Education Accreditation (BAN-PT).
- Domestic service colleges.
- Foreign universities recognized by the General Directorate of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia or the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the university’s home country.
3. Currently not (on going) or have completed a degree or not of a master’s or doctorate program in national and foreign universities.
4. Attach the following letter of recommendation:
- Letters of recommendation from academics and superiors for whom they have worked.
- Letters of recommendation from 2 academics for whom they have not worked.
5. Scholarships are only for regular classes and not for the following classes:
- Executive class
- Special class
- Employee class
- Remote class
- Classes not taught at the parent university
- International class specifically for domestic destinations
- Classes are taught at more than one state university
- Other classes that do not meet LPDP requirements
6. Complete the personal profile in the online registration form.
7. Write a personal statement.
8. Write a study plan for a master’s degree or a research proposal for a doctorate.
9. Write a commitment to return to Indonesia and a plan to contribute to Indonesia after the study.
Special requirements
The special requirements for PTUD scholarships are as follows:
1. Required to upload documents LoA unconditional The destination university in the registration application agrees with the list of the best universities in the world determined by the LPDP.
2. PTUD scholarship applicants who have been designated as Fellows cannot apply for a transfer from the destination university and the destination study program.
3. Willing to sign the declaration letter as follows (attached format).
4. Meet the requirements for the age limit of the registrant on December 31 of the year of registration, namely:
- Applicants for the master’s level must be 35 years or older.
- The level of Doctor of Higher Education Registry is 40 years old.
5. Upload a valid certificate of English language proficiency issued by ETS (www.ets.org), PTE Academic or IELTS (www.ielts.org) with the following conditions:
- Applicants for Master’s programs abroad, a minimum English skills score TOEFL iBT 80, PTE Academic 58 or IELTS 6.5.
- Applicants for Ph.D. programs abroad must achieve a minimum English language proficiency of TOEFL iBT 94, PTE Academic 65, or IELTS 7.0.
6. Upload a certificate that postpones the start of studies from the best universities in the world until 2021 for applicants who have LoA unconditional with study start time in 2020.
