Polda Metro Jaya deployed personnel to the Jakarta border area. This is done to anticipate the masses of workers who will demonstrate in front of the DPR / MPR RI.
“Our disposition is still being anticipated, Polda Metro Jaya together with TNI and also the provincial government, in this case Satpol PP, we have prepared officers there to secure the place which is a crucial point. -Polri and Pemda, “Yusri explained to reporters on Tuesday (6/10/2020).
Yusri explained that the decision was made considering that the Corona virus pandemic is still high in the Jakarta area. To do this, he again appealed to workers not to come to Jakarta for demonstrations.
“We hope that co-workers, workers and co-workers can understand that this activity may form a new group from the spread of COVID-19,” Yusri said.
“We hope that there is no need to go down, there is no need to crowd and obey existing health regulations, one of which is avoiding crowds because this can create new clusters later on,” he continued.
As is well known, the Government and the DPR have just passed the Omnibus Law on Job Creation into law. The Indonesian Confederation of Workers’ Unions (KSPI) said the move by the government and DPR was immoral.
To that end, the KSPI will fight back by organizing a nationwide strike. He said the action was focused on factories and industrial areas.
“We will continue to fight, we will continue to act, we will carry out a national action called a national strike. The concept is in our respective factories, because all of our members are all over Indonesia, if they leave or whatever is beyond our control,” he said.
