JEMBER PORTAL – Napoli lost to WO 3-0 in Serie A after not appearing in the match against Juventus

The condition came about because the health authorities in the Naples region told the players to stay home as two team members tested positive for Covid-19.

Reported by Sky Sports’ PORTAL JEMBER, Juventus arrived at the Allianz Stadium, Turin, an hour before the scheduled start time, while Italian media reported no signs of Napoli’s arrival.

Meanwhile, Serie A officials refused to cancel the match. Under the Serie A rules, Juventus would get a 3-0 win in the match because Napoli decided not to come.

A Napoli spokesperson confirmed that the team had been isolated by health authorities (ASL) after two players, midfielders Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas, tested positive in the last four days.

An ASL Napoli official confirmed in a television interview that the Napoli players had been ordered to stay home.

“We never explicitly said they couldn’t play, but clearly that’s the consequence,” he said.

Previously, Serie A said that ASL had not taken into account the health protocols agreed between the country’s ministries of health and sports and soccer authorities.
