Madiun –
The cause of the blackout in some of the 8 districts of East Java is already known. The cause is that the kite gets caught in the SUTET cable.
The kites caused interference with the 150 kV system in the delivery of the Manisrejo-Nganjuk 1 and Manisrejo-Nganjuk 2 trips.
“I think there is a kite (the cause). This officer is checking the location,” said Madiun Suyitno, manager of UPT PLN, when confirmed by detik.com on Saturday (3/10/2020).
The location of the kite stuck in the PLN high-voltage wire, Suyitno said, is in the Wungu district, Madiun Regency. In total there are 12 substations that have experienced PLN outages.
“In the Wungu Madiun area there is a kite, the officials are still reviewing the location for normalization. Out of a total of 12 PLN substations departing from Trenggalek, Pacitan, Ponorogo, Madiun City, Madiun Regency, Ngawi, Magetan, Caruban, Maospati and also Nganjuk, “he said.
Suyitno said that the total amount of PLN power that experienced outages from customers reached 350 megawatts. “The total is 350 MW or Mega Watt in our area and this is still normalizing,” he explained.
Electricity in several areas of East Java has suffered blackouts. This is due to a disturbance in the 150 kV system at the delivery of the Manisrejo-Nganjuk 1 and Manisrejo-Nganjuk 2 trips.
As a result of this disturbance, some areas in eight districts of East Java experienced blackouts. These areas are Madiun City, Madiun Regency, Ngawi, Magetan, Ponorogo, Pacitan, Trenggalek, and Nganjuk.
The blackout started at 18:03 WIB and was not the same for all regions.
