Manchester United are reportedly interested in Ousmane Dembele. However, Barcelona have denied any conversation with Manchester United about the Dembélé transfer.

United have recently been linked to Dembélé after Jadon Sancho’s transfer failed to materialize. Although apparently they have reached a personal agreement, MU has not been able to comply with Borussia Dortmund’s request for the British player.

MU is in a race against time as the summer transfer market closes on October 5. The Red Devils are alleged to have asked about the possibility of borrowing Dembélé from Barcelona.

Dembélé’s future at the Camp Nou is also a question mark despite the fact that he still has a contract for two more years. The 23-year-old was not played by Ronald Koeman during Barcelona’s 3-0 win over Celta de Vigo in the Spanish League that continued on Friday (02/10/2020) yesterday morning WIB.

Koeman had stated that Dembélé was still part of his plans. Now Barcelona sports director Ramon Planes has confirmed that his club still trusts the French international.

Planes stated that there was no discussion with MU about Dembele. In fact, he hopes that the former Dortmund player can have a good season with Barcelona.

“There are no negotiations with Manchester United,” Ramon Planes said as reported Brand.

“He is a player we trust. We know his potential and we hope he can show the best of him, with all the changes in the team.”

“We hope to enjoy his potential and his footballing talent. I am sure he will have a good season with us,” he said.
