Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

The Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII) plans to report to the Presidium of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (U.S) Gatot Nurmantyo to the police regarding the alleged defamation.

PMII Executive Board Chairman Agus Mulyono Herlambang said the report was related to Gatot’s allegation that PMII held a demonstration when WE held an event in front of Gedung Sate, Bandung City, on Monday (7 / 9).

In addition to that, Agus said, Gatot also accused PMII of holding a demonstration because he was looking for money to continue his family life.

“Although the PMII did not reject it in Bandung. Therefore, top statement“PB PMII will take legal action against the defamation of Gatot,” Agus said in his statement on Friday (2/10).

According to Agus, his party does not need to consolidate to reject the US Because, Agus assessed, WE have been rejected by ourselves.

Agus said that WE were rejected in various regions because they did not bring new ideas and solutions to the nation. According to him, WE only carry past memories about the PKI.

“Other than that, statement Gatot regarding someone who made efforts to revoke TAP MPRS No. XXV / MPRS / 1966 on the impeachment of the Communist Party of Indonesia is the PKI, it is equivalent to saying that Gus Dur is the PKI, “he said.

In fact, Agus said, PMII believed that Gus Dur’s efforts were nothing more than an effort to reconcile the nation’s children so that together they could focus and contribute to Indonesia.

Additionally, Agus hopes that Gatot will make a positive move to help deal with the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia.

“It is not a consolidation to bring the masses together by creating a crowd to fulfill your own political ambitions as if you don’t care about people’s anguish,” he said.

We have held several declaration events in various regions and have received opposition from the masses.

On September 7th, WE held an event in front of Gedung Sate, Bandung City, West Java. The event continued despite the opposing mass action.

Then on September 28, we held a large gathering at the Juang 45 building, Surabaya, East Java. However, the event was canceled due to protests from community groups.

Several outlets said that at that time Gatot had mentioned PMII as an organization that held a demonstration to reject the United States and accept payment.
