CITY OF TASIK – As a result of the increasing number of positive cases of Covid-19, the government of the city of Tasik is overwhelmed by the space for the isolation and treatment of patients with positive corona.
For this reason, the Tasik city government contacted several hotel owners to use it as an isolation room for Covid-19 patients. A total of two hotels are ready to be used for the isolation of corona patients.
The regional secretary (Sekda) of the city of Tasik, who is also the spokesperson for the acceleration of the management of Covid-19 in the city of Tasikmalaya, Ivan Dicksan, said that his party had negotiated with several hotels to be used as places of isolation for Covid-19 patients.
According to him, 2 hotels were ready to be used as a place of isolation. “If at any time it is necessary, we will inform it,” he said, when contacted by reporters, on Thursday night (10/01).
He explained that the Tasikmalaya city government will choose one of the two hotels that is considered representative as a place for the isolation of Covid-19 patients.
This is because isolation sites for patients cannot be arbitrary, but must consider several aspects.
Regarding the plan to use a government building as a place of isolation, Iván evaluated that his party will currently focus on hotels.
Because, the isolation place for Covid-19 patients must also meet the service standards.
In addition, he wants the isolation of Covid-19 patients to focus on certain points.
“If there are too many places, the supervision will also require more energy. The government building may be the last option,” he explained.
According to data from the Tasikmalaya (Dinkes) City Health Office, so far the isolation room of the hospital is almost completely full.
There are only four rooms available at Dr. Soekardjo Hospital that are still empty. Meanwhile, isolation rooms at other hospitals are 100% full.
Meanwhile, the isolation room in the rental flats of Siliwangi (Unsil) University (Rusunawa) has 40 rooms and is already full.
The head of the Tasikmalaya City Health Bureau (Kadinkes) said Uus Supangat, in Rusunawa there are 40 rooms available, one of which has two beds.
A total of 30 rooms are used for patients and the remaining 10 rooms are for healthcare personnel.
“That can be used for patients in 30 rooms. In an emergency, it can accommodate 60 patients. However, we try to have a room for one patient,” he said.
