JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The provincial government of DKI Jakarta has once again allowed Covid-19 patients without symptoms to perform independent isolation at home.

However, there are a number of things and conditions that must be met if you want independent isolation in your own place of residence.

So what are the procedures and conditions?

The head of the DKI Jakarta Health Service, Widyastuti, explained that patients without symptoms of Covid-19 can carry out an independent isolation at home after coordinating with health officials and the local task force.

The officer must first conduct a feasibility assessment in accordance with the procedure for implementing controlled isolation.

“For Covid-19 OTG patients who wish to self-isolate at home or in private facilities, this can be done if they have complied with the feasibility assessment of the local task force or the local village chief or chief of subdistrict and health officials, “said Widyastuti in his statement, Thursday (1/1) 10/2020).

Once established, patients without symptoms of Covid-19 must undergo self-isolation following health protocols.

Health workers will carry out regular monitoring. If the condition worsens, you must be referred to a health center for further treatment.

“The Lurah together with the working group for the management of Cpvid-19 at the RT or RW level also supervises the independent isolation process together with Satpol PP, Police, TNI and related elements to enforce the law or discipline in case of a violation, “said Widyastuti.

Minimum standard of facilities

The provincial government of DKI Jakarta has also established a minimum standard of facilities that must be owned by Covid-19 patients who wish to be isolated in their homes.

These terms and procedures are regulated in the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 980 of 2020 on the Procedure for the management of controlled isolation in the context of the manipulation of Covid-19.

The Governor’s Decree was signed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, on September 22, 2020.

One of the procedures that must be performed is to put up a sticker showing that the house is a place for self-isolation from Covid-19.

The following are the procedures that must be performed in a home that is used as a standalone Covid-19 insulation:

1. Periodic monitoring of the patient’s health status by the nearest health center.

2. The village head oversees the location of the independent isolation by involving the RT / RW Task Force or other parties deemed capable and by applying discipline with related agencies in the event of a violation in the independent isolation process.

3. The village head is required to stick or place a sticker that says “doing self-isolation” on the door or in an easily visible place in the home of Covid-19 patients.

4. Patients should always be proactive in communicating with healthcare workers.

5. Use telemidicine facilities or social health networks.

6. Patients who are positive for Covid-19 can only perform activities at home, they are prohibited from working or traveling to public spaces.

7. Patients are also prohibited from interacting directly with family members or relatives during the period of controlled isolation.

8. During the self-isolation process, patients should use a separate room in the home from other family members and try to maintain a safe distance from other people.

9. Covid-19 patients should always wear a mask during the independent isolation period.

10. The patient takes daily temperature measurements and observes clinical symptoms such as coughing or shortness of breath.

11. Avoid sharing utensils with other people such as plates, spoons, forks, glasses; and toiletries like towels, toothbrushes, lollipops, and bedding.

12. Live a clean and healthy lifestyle by eating nutritious food, washing your hands regularly, washing your hands with soap and running water, and sneezing or coughing ethically.

13. Patients are advised to stay outdoors and sunbathe every morning.

14. Keep the house clean with disinfectant liquid.

15. Dispose of used personal use in a tightly closed container.

16. Call the medical center immediately if the illness worsens for further treatment.

Current conditions must refer

Covid-19 patients with no symptoms or mild symptoms in Jakarta will be forcibly detained by officers if they refuse to be isolated in government-owned facilities while their homes do not meet the requirements to be used as a separate isolation facility. .

The forced collection will involve health workers, Satpol PP members of TNI and Polri.

“If the suitability of the place of isolation is not sufficient, while for people or communities who are not willing to be referred to a place of controlled isolation, the health officer will inform the local working group or the village or sub-district head to carry out a forced collection with Satpol PP, Police, TNI and related elements, “said Widya.

The provincial government of DKI Jakarta and the central government have provided controlled isolation places for people with confirmed Covid-19 with no symptoms and mild symptoms.

Isolation facilities are in the form of hotels, inns, and guesthouses.

People with confirmed Covid-19 but no symptoms will be placed in the Kemayoran Independent Isolation Facility, while those with mild-moderate symptoms will be treated at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital.

Other areas of isolation provided include the Jakarta Center for Islamic Research and Development (Jakarta Islamic Center) in North Jakarta; Graha Wisata Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in East Jakarta; and Graha Wisata Ragunan and GOR Jaya Raya Ragunan Complex in South Jakarta.
