JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesia has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic for almost seven months. However, there are no signs of reduced transmission of the corona virus.
The government shows that the transmission of the virus scientifically named SARS-Cov-2 is still occurring, so the number of cases of Covid-19 continues to increase today, Thursday (01/10/2020).
In fact, the number of additional Covid-19 patients remains high, exceeding 4,000 people a day.
Government data as of this Thursday at 12.00 WIB showed that there were 4,174 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The addition has caused Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to now reach 291,182 people, as of the time that President Joko Widodo announced the first case on March 2, 2020.

The patient recovered and died
The government shows that the number of patients who recover after being infected with the corona virus also continues to increase.
In one day, there are 3,540 additional Covid-19 patients who recover and are considered to be no longer infected with the corona virus.
They were declared cured after examination with the method Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) shows negative results for the corona virus.
Thus, the total number of Covid-19 patients who recovered reached 218,487 people.

However, there is still sad news with the increasing number of Covid-19 patients who have died.
In the period from September 30 to October 1, 2020, another 116 patients with Covid-19 died.
As a result, the death toll from Covid-19 in Indonesia is now 10,856 people.
Apart from the active cases, there are also currently 135,480 people known to have the status of suspects.

Sample data
A total of 4,174 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered after the government examined 43,592 specimens a day.
With registration, a person can submit to the examination of the sample more than once.

Currently, Covid-19 cases have been registered in all provinces of the country, from Aceh to Papua.
In detail, there have been 497 districts / cities of 34 provinces that have registered the transmission of the corona virus.
This means that more than 96 percent of the Indonesian area has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
