KOMPAS.com – The murder of seven TNI AD agents on September 30, 1965 or known as G30S / PKI or the PKI Movement of September 30 became one of the darkest history of the Indonesian nation.
In the kidnapping, persecution and murder that took place from the night of October 30 to September 1, 1965, seven people who were later named Revolutionary Heroes were killed as victims of the PKI atrocities.
They are General Ahmad Yani, Major General R. Soeprapto, Major General MT Haryono, Major General S. Parman, Brigadier General DI Panjaitan, Brigadier General Sutoyo and Lettu Pierre A. Tendean.

These seven people were forcibly invited by the Cakrabirawa forces, forerunners of the current Presidential Security Forces, from their respective homes in the middle of the night and early in the morning.
Some were rescued, others killed as a result of bullets from the uniformed group.
All were taken to the Lubang Buaya area in eastern Jakarta, and their bodies were dumped into a small well, known as the Lubang Buaya well.

So how did the story end until their bodies were found?

Based on information gathered from the public, the RPKAD team received instructions that the officers would be taken to Lubang Buaya, Pondok Gede, Pasar Rebo district, East Jakarta.
The southern side of this area is a rubber forest that is used for shooting exercises by groups of people with foreign political ideologies.

Some members of the RPKAD team who were at the scene slipped into a well.
From a distance, they saw several fully armed people who were fit ready for combat or ready for combat.

Armed entourage
Knowing this, the RPK-AD member immediately believed that the armed group in front of him were G30S / PKI troops.
They believed it, because the team had received a report that a few hours earlier an armed group had escorted seven Indonesian army officers who had been prisoners to this location.
However, knowing that the number of armed forces was far greater than that of the approaching RPK-AD team, they stealthily returned to their command post.

Unfortunately, at that time, the Armed Forces were already kissing the behavior of other parties observing them.
Finally, this team also crawled to find out how strong the team was that threatened their existence.
The RPK-AD team, who had returned to the post and met with other members, finally decided to approach the suspicious location and carry out the siege using certain techniques.

The process of finding the remains
It turned out that the RPK-AD team was as large as the armed forces in Lubang Buaya.
The armed forces did not dare to match RPK-AD’s strength until they decided to dispose of him.
The location is already under the authority of the RPK-AD, an investigation was launched to find the bodies of the TNI AD officers who were abducted.

The bodies were found in an old well with a depth of 12 meters and a diameter of approximately 75 cm.
This well is covered with leaves, colored cloth, banana stems, and garbage.
According to the compiled stories, the body at the top of the pile is Lettu Pierre A. Tendean. General A. Yani is in fourth place, DI Panjaitan is at the end and MT Haryono is at the top.

The state of their bodies was already in poor condition, describing acts of persecution and torture carried out by the PKI before they were killed.
There were bodies whose faces were damaged, some external organs were missing, etc.
The Navy team that helped evacuate the body experienced difficulties on the first day of attempting to remove the body, due to insufficient equipment.
However, finally the seven bodies dumped into the pit were successfully removed by mining to the surface, on Monday, October 4, 1965.

The following day, October 5, 1965, the seven bodies of the Kusuma of the Nation were buried in the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of ABRI.
During the funeral procession, General AH Nasution, a target of the G30SPKI, who survived the sacrifice made by his assistant, Pierre Tendean, was present.
When the group entered the house and asked where Nasution was, Tendean said it was General Nasution.
As a result, the general managed to survive, and the Cakrabirawa troops took this aide away.
