Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Multiple members Commission III DPR RI calls the Chief General of the National Police Idham Azis | on how or what the police took to break up the student rally in Kendari and the Akbar Gathering of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia meeting (U.S) at the Jabal Nur building, Surabaya, East Java, on Monday (9/28).

Members of Commission III DPR RI of the Habiburokhman faction of the Gerindra Party urged Idham Azis to act justly. Because, he said the police did not do the same to the crowd from Surabaya, KITA, who held a demonstration in front of the Jabal Nur building.

“What I see, maybe I’m incomplete with the video, it’s people demonstrating outside and not dissolving. To avoid mixed perceptions, I believe that in the future the application of justice is important because it is political. The people involved are also politicians. The perception of the facts can be mixed, ”said Habiburokhman at the Working Meeting of Commission III of the DPR with the Chief of Police that took place virtually on Wednesday (9/30).

“So anyone who organizes an event that violates Covid-19, both inside and outside, will be disbanded,” he added.

Meanwhile, Golkar faction member Supriansa questioned the police decision to disperse a student demonstration in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) using a helicopter last Saturday (9/26).

He asked Idham to analyze the motives behind the policing method in Kendari so that similar incidents do not happen again in the future.

“I think the Chief of the National Police should analyze well what is the motive behind this, so that the Kendari police cannot make sure that the victims do not drop too many approaches correctly,” he said.

A member of Commission III of the DPR of the PKS Aboebakar Alhabsyi faction questioned whether the use of helicopters in this way was a new procedure to dismiss demonstrations implemented in the police institution.

Aboebakar also found the move inconsistent with Idham’s statement that he wanted the police to act in a more humane manner.

“The dissolution of the student action in Kendari using helicopters last Saturday, this is what really happened, this is a new procedure for the dissolution of the mass action or demonstration,” he said.

The dispersal of the student demonstration in Kendari by helicopter took place on Saturday (9/26). At that time, the students held a rally to commemorate the deaths of Immawan Randi (21) and Muh. Yusuf Kardawi (19).

Polda Southeast Sulawesi police used helicopters that flew low into the crowd to disperse it. The Sulawesi Police Professional and Safety Division (Propam) Team has examined the pilot and crew of the helicopter.

The Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police also stated that the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Yan Sultra Indrajaya, had never ordered the pilots to fly low and disperse the masses.

“There was no order from the Regional Police Chief. Currently, Propam is clarifying the problem (Pilot),” Sulawesi Regional Police Head of Public Relations AKBP Ferry Walintukan said via short message on Monday (28 / 9).

The police also broke up the meeting of KAMI leader Gatot Nurmantyo with various community leaders in East Java, during the OUR Grand Gathering at the Jabal Nur Building, Surabaya, last Monday.

Police entered the meeting room as Gatot spoke from the pulpit, calling for the event to be disbanded. At the same time, in front of the Jabal Nur building, the masses on behalf of Surabaya demonstrated against the United States meeting.

The National Police stated that the event WE held in Surabaya did not comply with the recommendations of the local Covid-19 Management Working Group. This became one of the reasons why the police apparatus dissolved the meeting.

“The event carried out by the United States does not have the results of the evaluation of the Covid-19 Task Force,” the head of the Public Information Office (Karopenmas) of the National Police Headquarters said on Tuesday (9/29). Awi Setiyono at Police Headquarters, Jakarta.
