A person with the initials S was arrested in connection with prayer vandalism in Pasar Kemis, Tangerang Regency, Banten. The perpetrator was arrested at his home and is currently being transferred to Tangerang Police Headquarters.

“Based on the results of the TKP, the witness examination and the existing evidence, thank goodness, just a few hours after we investigated, we secured a perpetrator with the initials S at his home,” said the Tangerang Police Chief , Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, on Tuesday (9/29/2020).

The arrests were made at 7.30pm WIB. Based on the results of the interrogation, the author admitted that he had scribbled a musala around 16.00 WIB.

“Currently, the perpetrator has been brought to the Tangerang Police for further investigation,” he said.

After making the scene of the crime, the officers immediately cleaned the prayer room that had been scribbled. Residents, Ade said, have also returned to congregational prayers at the site.

Previously, a video of vandalism and the Quran being vandalized in a prayer room in Tangerang Regency, Banten, went viral on social media. You can see that the prayer room has been spray-painted on the walls and floors, and there is a broken Quran on the floor.

The video is about a minute long. Someone in the video said that everyone section on This musala is scrawled. The party that knew the beginning was a man named Wawan.

“Yes, this is a prayer room. We don’t know what time, everything was scribbled. The early entry was Wawan. Wawan already arrived here with a scribbled condition,” said someone in the video, who was quoted as saying detikcom.

From the graffiti, it appears that there is an inscription of ‘No Ridho’ on the floor and the words ‘I am a Kafir’ on a blackboard. The voice in the video conveys that it does not know the motive for such an act. Because, as soon as the musala entered and wanted Asar’s prayer, Wawan, who was about to sound the call to prayer, discovered that the musala was full of scribbles.

“This is why I don’t know what the reason is. As soon as I want to (pray), Asar and Wawan don’t want to call for prayer because of conditions like this,” he continued in the video narration.

The video also shows the pronunciation of Allah on the floor that is crossed, with the words ‘Anti Khilafah’ and ‘Anti Islam’ on the wall.

“The Quran is torn, torn, crossed, everything shattered. It begins at what time. There is no hour like this at 12,” he said.
