Tottenham Hotspur advanced to the Premier League Cup quarter-finals after beating Chelsea on penalties. The two teams previously tied 1-1.
The round of 16 match between Tottenham vs Chelsea took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday (09/30/2020) early morning West Indonesian time. A close duel in the first 10 minutes.

After nearly being pressured, Chelsea were able to make a threat in the 72nd minute. Werner opened fire freely in Tottenham’s penalty area after receiving a bait ball. Werner’s shot went off hard, but Lloris was in the right position to secure the net.
Chelsea had a chance in the 76th minute from Hudson-Odoi. After defeating two Tottenham players, Hudson-Odoi fired a shot, but it still bounced off the target. This moment bothered Mourinho and he entered the locker room.
Tottenham finally managed to equalize the score at 1-1 in the 84th minute. Erik Lamela’s cross was successfully completed by Reguilon, who left the offside position.
There are no additional goals until the 90 minute walk. The match must also be completed on penalties.
The penalty shootout was fierce. Five Tottenham executors managed to perform their duties well, namely Eric Dier, Lamela, Emile Hojbjerg, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane.
Chelsea had a smooth run on four consecutive shots, namely Tammy Abraham, Azpilicueta, Jorginho and Emerson. Mason Mouny, who fired all five of her shots off the net. Tottenham is also entitled to advance to the quarterfinals after winning 5-4 in a high-five battle.
