Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

President China Xi Jinping claim policies made by ethnicity Uigur of Xinjiang has been right. The comments came amid global criticism and criticism that China is too oppressive and discredits Muslims in Xinjiang.

At a two-day working conference in Xinjiang, Xi said China’s strategy is correct and must continue in the long term.

“All parties should treat the implementation of the Xinjiang strategy as a political task and work hard to implement it fully and accurately. To ensure that Xinjiang’s work is always in the right political direction,” Xi said.

“We must also continue to lead the cynicism of Islam to achieve healthy religious development,” he added.

Most of the Uyghurs are Muslims in Xinjiang. The international community has often criticized the Chinese government’s mistreatment of ethnic Uighurs, including the genocide of Muslim women there.

In response to global criticism, the Chinese government has often denied it.

“It is necessary to tell the story of Xinjiang in a multi-level, versatile and three-dimensional way, and confidently spread the excellent social stability of Xinjiang,” Xi was quoted as saying. CNN.

Xi also considered that China’s current policies towards Xinjiang had brought unprecedented achievements.

China’s policies toward Xinjiang are often seen as a violation of human rights. Last week, the US House of Representatives passed the “Prevention of Uyghur Forced Labor” Act to ban certain products from Xinjiang and impose sanctions on those responsible for human rights abuses there.

Increasing international pressure comes as human rights groups have begun to describe the situation in Xinjiang as an attempted genocide. Another report revealed that there was state interference in efforts to sterilize Uighur women to change the demographics in Xinjiang.

This refers to a government report confirming a decline in the birth rate in Xinjiang since 2018 from 15.88 per 1,000 people to 10.69.

Instead of recognizing the decline in births as a result of sterilization, the government has claimed that the success was the implementation of comprehensive family planning.
