jpnn.com, YEREVAN – Armenian and Azerbaijani troops were once again involved in the fighting in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region on Monday (9/28).
The Nagorno-Karabakh authorities reported that more than 15 of their soldiers had been killed in the attack.
The firing range between the Armenian and Azerbaijani forces was the most intense since 2016.
Nagorno-Karabakh is a region located in Azerbaijan, but it is controlled by ethnic Armenians.
The separatist territorial authority said it had regained control of several areas that the enemy had captured on Sunday, and said Azerbaijan had used heavy artillery to carry out attacks.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said that Armenian troops opened fire on the city of Terter.
Nagorno-Karabakh authorities said on Sunday that 16 of its soldiers were killed and more than 100 wounded after Azerbaijan launched air and artillery strikes. (ant / dil / jpnn)
