jpnn.com, JAKARTA – General (retired) TNI Gatot Nurmantyo’s statement that there is a new style of PKI resurgence has generated controversy.

The Chairman of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE), Ahmad Yani, said the former TNI commander only intended to remind this nation of the dangers of communism.

History records that the PKI has made movements that threaten the life of the nation and the state.

Namely, the Madiun incident and the 1965 tragedy that are still closely related to the memory of this nation.

“Just remember the past. That time was so dark decades ago,” Yani said in a conversation with jpnn.com on Friday (9/25).

Like Gatot Nurmantyo, Ahmad Yani also claimed that there were signs of a resurgence of communism and the banned party.

The smell of the communist uprising immediately received a strong reaction from Muslims.

Ahmad Yani then linked the indication of the communist revival with the birth of the HIP (Pancasila Ideology) bill which received strong resistance from the community.
