Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – EFY, the doctor who committed acts of sexual harassment and fraud against aircraft passengers during the Corona virus rapid test at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta), has been investigated by the police.
To the investigator, he acknowledged and explained the reasons for his actions.
“He committed fraud because he wanted more money. Meanwhile, the sexual harassment was due to momentary lust,” said the head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Soetta Airport Police Commissioner Alexander Yurikho when contacted on Saturday (26 / 9/2020).
As to whether EFY is desperate for financial trouble to do so, Alex has not responded.
The police conducted an examination on EFY doctors after their arrest on Friday (9/25/2020) yesterday in Balige, Samosir Toba, North Sumatra. He was detained in a boarding house with his wife and son.
Previously, the police had named EFY a suspect and charged him with various articles. Alex said the suspect was charged with article 289 KUHPidana and / or 294 KUHPidana and / or 368 KUHPidana and / or 378 KUHPidana.
“With a maximum threat of 9 years in prison,” he said when contacted on Thursday, September 24, 2020.
The imposition of articles on extortion and sexual harassment against the suspect, according to Yurikho, was based on legal facts and evidence obtained from the investigation process. Yurikho admitted that the evidence included evidence of money transfers and CCTV footage.
As for EFY, whether medical or not, Yurikho said investigators were confirming the place where the suspect worked and the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI).
The EFY case began when it claimed that the results of the rapid test of an airplane passenger at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, with the initials LHI were reactive. In fact, the new test performed by LHI on Nias showed no reactivity.
This case went viral after the victim shared a chronology of sexual harassment and blackmail she experienced while undergoing a rapid test.
